LYNWOOD (CBSLA.com) — A postal worker is fighting for her life after a hit-and-run driver struck a parked car, pinning her underneath.

Juan Carlos Mosquera was working Saturday afternoon near the intersection of Santa Fe and Euclid Ave. when a driver slammed into a parked car, leaving postal worker Lydia Ray pinned underneath.

“He must have been going about 80, 90 miles an hour,” Mosquera said.

Photos from the scene show Mosquera holding Ray after she was struck.

“I see that the lady is all bloody under the car, so we have to pick it up and get her out from under the car,” said fellow good Samaritan Israel Hernandez.
