BOSTON (CBS) — FedEx stores around the country are open on Christmas as the shipping company tries to make up for the fact that it couldn’t make all of its scheduled deliveries in time for the holiday.
A few unhappy customers spent part of their Christmas morning at the local FedEx in South Boston, wanting to know where their packages were.
Some were lucky enough to walk out with boxes in tow, others left empty-handed.
One Boston man told WBZ NewsRadio 1030 that his gifts were supposed to be in Christmas Eve, but never showed up.
“They obviously have a lot of stuff on their plate right now,” he said. “I’m happy I can just come by and pick it up.”
But a look at the shipping company’s Facebook page show that some customers are not as forgiving.
Video: FedEx Customers Furious As Deliveries Fail To Arrive By Christmas
every year at our plant, to get their PFP bonus, they either pick attendance or overtime. then just switch every year. they never pick mail performance. this should not be allowed……PMG Brennen should be the one to pick what their PFP goal is going to be for the year………letting these morons pick OT or sick calls every year is just a way to game the system. at our plant 80% of worker/mismgt is on fmla so attendance should be tossed. bonus money for losing $90 billion since 2009 is a sick joke in itself. I wish the govt would sell the place to UPS……..I have no fear and I do not drink the propaganda kool-aid. UPS is a great company.
I hope Mark could get his $630 back from FedEx, plus”treble”(triple) damages from FedEx. Mark derseves,at least $1890.due 2 FedEx ‘s imbicilic negligence.
funny they took my post down about 117/119 senior MDO who cut back OT to juice her PFP bounus and left letters, packages, & express packed to the rafters on Christmas day. the truth has a certain ring to it……….at the post office it is like a wooden spike to a vampire…….guess that’s why they deleted the post. po has always protected their mismgt criminals……..PO OIG included.
Fedex left a package on my uncovered front porch during a flood watch with heavy rain on the way. Ruined $630 worth of medical supplies!
Neither rain nor snow nor gloom of night… Nor late online customers shall deter us from our appointed rounds! Only the USPS can do the job every year, the right way. Take that you privatizing Scrooge republicans!
PRIVATIZE IT!!!!! 🤔
Privatizing mail and/or package delivery will have overworked, underpaid employees who don’t care if you get your mail on time, or anytime. Do you really want someone who hasn’t been bonded, who walks in off the street, delivering your precious items? There are bad apples in every barrel, but happy, well-paid union workers are most likely to do it right!
Privatize it? it will cost more than .49 to mail that letter and to forward it you’ll pay as well (ask the Canadians) compare the prices for 2/3 day UPS and USPS. More thank double/triple in some cases. With Privatization you’ll pay the UPS prices or more, be careful what you wish for. Your Tax dollars do not pay my salary and most Postal Workers were working 7 days/12 hours to make sure your packages/cards and letters arrived for Christmas.. Try it sometime…
Boo hoo…hoo!! Image,if a few late Christmas packages were the greatest injustices of humanity. So the FedEx customers, will get their gifts 2day or 2morrow? Maybe next use the postal-service or UPS 4 gift shipments? Until then;most of us,have more pressing worries.
We did not get ours soon enough.Had to go buy replacement
