If convicted, Danny Corbin, 59, faces life sentence

July 2, 2015 ROCKLEDGE, Fla. – A Brevard County U.S. Postal Service employee was arrested Wednesday after police said he hit a 55-year-old woman in the face in a fit of road rage.

The victim, who had three children in the car with her, told police that Danny Corbin, 59, followed her from Murrell Road to the U.S. Post Office in Rockledge.

As the victim was depositing mail into the mail drop box, she said Corbin got out of his car, reached through her driver’s side window and hit her in the face.

(Danny) Corbin, who ironically enough works for the U.S. Postal Service [17 year city letter carrier] in Cocoa, told police he was upset the victim cut him off. read more

  1. Spotless military record and 17 years with USPS. What he did was wrong and he needs help. Life in prison? Unbelievable that such a sentence would even be suggested.

  2. I thought the young were the ones afflicted with rage. You would think this guy’s fires would have cooled by age 59. Is 20 seconds of joy ever worth 20 years in the slammer of even 20 days in the county jail? No, of course it isn’t, but when a person in enraged, rational decision making goes out the window. If he is an otherwise responsible guy, I hope the court gets him some help and if he accepts it, I hope they go easy on him; and if he is repentant, I hope the victim sees it in her heart to forgive him. However, if he does not accept help, and he is not repentant they need to get him off the streets.
