FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -A USPS postal worker was rushed to the hospital Friday afternoon after lightning struck close to her work truck in Fort Lauderdale.

Fire officials said the incident happened on East Commercial Boulevard near Northeast 18th Avenue.

Firefighters said the woman suffered burn injuries. She received a secondary charge after lightning struck nearby while her hand was on a metal part of the truck.
