GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (WZZM) – A letter recognizing a Grand Rapids postal carrier who chased down some thieves is going viral.

On December 30th, Louie Kunst was delivering packages in the Heritage Hill area when he noticed three teenagers walking down the sidewalk.

“I’d never seen them before, and I do this route every day,” Louie said. “Every house, I kept my eye on them. I noticed they were looking up on porches.”

Louie delivered a package to Nathaniel George’s house on Morris Street. After making the rounds, he noticed the box was gone. Moments later, Louie saw the teens carrying the package down the street. “At that point, my adrenaline was going. I don’t confront people very often.”

Louie chased them down. “They were surprised,” he said of the teens’ reactions. “They were taken aback. They were like, ‘What are you talking about?’ I said, ‘I know you took the box.'”
