The holiday season is officially here and that means lots of package deliveries. That also means it’s the perfect time for thieves on the prowl, but there are some ways to protect yourself and your gifts from being stolen.
“I did have a package stolen last year and fortunately the store where I bought it was nice enough to refund the purchase, but it was my nephews Christmas present so it made for a little bit of headache to get one in time,” said online shopper Katie Hastings.
Because she doesn’t want her packages to get stolen, Hastings usually has them shipped to her office. However, this time she picked it up from a local business just down the street from her home.
“I live just around the corner and it was nice that I came home to it just being left out. I’m worried about someone taking a package especially around the holidays,” Hastings added.
It’s an alternate delivery option from UPS called ‘Access Point,’ so you don’t worry about your gifts getting swiped by a stranger.
