CALIFORNIA – A man caught on camera kidnapping a woman in California is now in custody.
The chilling surveillance video shows the suspect, later identified as 29-year-old Jose Eduardo Gaxiola Caro, dragging the victim out of the convenience store where she worked.
A bystander in the surveillance video is being criticized. As the suspect drags the woman out of the store, they go right past a postal carrier, who actually trips over the victim.
Instead of noticing that something is wrong, the postal carrier appears to drop off the mail and walk out. More
UPS man would have taken care of business……..post office just goes lower and lower into the mud. kids of postal mismanagement are coming in in droves as they were too stupid for college.
On the surface it does look bad, and I would probably intervened, or at least called 911. I don’t want to plead devil’s advocate here, but I have some customers on my route who are terrible people – druggies, a house with a couple of pimps who got busted for forcing underage girls to whore for them, and then were also drug dealers, meth freaks and dregs of society that I would probably stay out of the way just because it’s none of my business, although I would protect a kid or a woman being beaten. In this case it’s a store that this is happening and the carrier should have done something to help.
However, sometimes it’s not wise to get involved in other peoples’ business. The video may not be telling the full story. I do think the comment about assuming the carrier was a “lazy scamming employee” on limited duty was out of line and a stupid baseless comment. Sounds like that person has some personal beef with restricted carriers to me, and after 32 years, I have a 5 and 40 restriction for a shot shoulder, so I do take offense. I still carry a 1000 stop route and will retire in about 7 weeks because I know I can’t do as well as I did when I was in my 20’s and 30’s.
So, “Billy”, until you’ve worn yourself out like I did on foot routes in the pre-internet days in all kinds of weather, I suggest you shut the hell up and keep your pointless criticisms to yourself.
A big Thank you for you service. I for one, Don’t understand why they
are not having you mentoring the carriers. I know that a guy like you has
a lot of street smarts. My dad used to say, Boy you aren’t got enough life
to make every mistake there is. The most important thing you have is
knowledge, and a can do attitude. Best of luck!.
Probably another lazy scamming employee on limited duty that cant help due to some bogus physical limitations.
you can not find an excuse for your actions always. If everything worked like USPS
There wouldn’t be a Good Samaritan. even in the bible the Good Samaritan was seen
as a piece of crap. Where the good guys walked away, He had to answer to himself
first, and the rest of the world thereafter. Thankfully we live in a country ( America)
where this sorry story is repeated all the time. The police, and our Vets live this story
every day. Some run, and other face the music. Thank you with honor on your hard
circumstances!.
Yeah, no work place violence remember?
A guys has to do, what a guys has to do. The knee pads don’t always work!.
Maybe he thought they were goofing around. Did she ever scream HELP, I’m being kidnapped? Did she say anything to alert the carrier or anyone for that matter. Looks to me like he was busy doing his job.
If he intervenes and it goes bad he gets a letter for working unsafe
