HEMPSTEAD – Police say a mail carrier was attacked and robbed on the job in Hempstead.

The incident happened a little after 7 p.m. yesterday near Booth Street and Long Beach Road.

According to police, two guys dressed in all black came up from behind the man, grabbed his bag, took his personal items and then ran off.
