12.21.14 KETTERING, Ohio (WDTN) — It’s crunch time for the U.S. Post Office with only three days left to make sure your packages make it to their destinations on time.
“Very busy, but we wouldn’t have it any other way,” said Justin Smith, a mail carrier with the Kettering Post Office.
Postal carriers like Justin Smith are making Sunday deliveries because of the holiday rush.
“We appreciate the business. It means we’re doing what our customers want,” stated Smith.
“Since Thanksgiving, we’ve had a non-stop increase in parcels,” stated Jamie Huff, manager at the Kettering Post Office.
Carriers have been delivering seven days a week for the past four weeks.
