Neither snow nor rain nor roving packs of vicious turkeys can stop this Massachusetts postman from doing his duty.
In this hilarious video, uploaded by CapeCodWave, a Falmouth, Massachusetts mailman is filmed being endlessly accosted by a gang of angry, mail-hating turkeys. He carries a long pole, which apparently is used solely for the purpose of keeping the aggressive birds at bay.

they stand at attention and salute when the UPS driver comes along…….they know a winner from a turkey!
Obviously management isn’t doing much – after all, there’s six or seven of them following him in this video. Lame joke but somebody had to do it.
“Retired in FLA” does make a very good point, though. In this day and age of smart phones, security cameras and Big Brother hiding everywhere, carriers should take extra care not to be camera stupid. I.E., throwing packages, which you should never do, drive like maniacs, harass innocent animals (not the gobblers) and other unprofessional behavior. The old standby of a supervisor having to physically see you do something wrong is not good anymore because film evidence is impossible to argue. There is no clause in the contract or MOU to my knowledge that prohibits management from using camera evidence, although I suppose you could argue that they are not investigating an offense themselves and relying on civilian or business surveillance to do their work for them. It’s about the only defense I can think of, and I was a branch president/steward for 17 years.
Real professional carrier. Wearing non-uniform hat, delivering park and loop without a satchel, jaywalking across the street without looking, walking back to a vehicle he left unsecured and driving away without his seatbelts fastened. Then the dope got himself recorded for any supervisor, manager or postmaster to see. Hope your shop steward has fun arguing to get your discipline thrown out.
The attacking turkeys r likely the turkey relatives of the original Pilgrims turkeys consumed during the first Thanksgiving feast. Cape Cod,MA isn’t far from Plymouth Rock.
Is his name Tom?
