MIAMI (WSVN) — According to Miami resident John F. Valdes, on Tuesday a woman pulled up in front of his home and stole his mail. He said he was in his kitchen just before 3:30 p.m. when he heard his mailbox close. “While I was grabbing the water, filling up the glass, was when I heard the [mailbox],” he said.
At the time, Valdes thought it was the mail carrier delivering the mail. He said he later went to check his mailbox, which is located next to his front door. “When I stepped outside and looked in the mailbox, it was empty,” he said. “When I looked around, I didn’t see the postal carrier.”

Valdes said he then checked his home surveillance system, which showed a tan sport utility vehicle, possibly a Mercury Mountaineer, stopping right in front of the home. A young woman is then seen jumping out of the passenger side, running towards Valdes’ house and snatching a piece of his mail. She is then captured running back to the SUV before it drove away.
