July 24, 2015 Mold is causing the Orwigsburg Post Office to temporarily close until further notice.
“I think it’s a very big deal especially to a lot of businesses. I know they do a lot of volume here.” said Brad Mullen
The post office along west market street in Orwigsburg will close Saturday at 3pm.
The spokeswomen for the US Postal Service in Central PA, Karen Mazurkiewicz tells Eyewitness News via phone that the main priority is continuing services to the roughly 2600 customers with the 17961 zip code.
The eight employees who work at the Orwigsburg Post Office will temporarily move to the nearby Pottsville location.
Those who get their mail delivered to their home will still get it, however nearly two-hundred people who use a P.O. Box, will have to travel just over eight miles to pick up their mail in Pottsville.
