When it comes to postal customers, Larry Parker does his part. He insured and certified a package he shipped last January. What transpired next is more than anyone should have to endure over a lost parcel.
Parker shelled out $28 to ship a package north last January, but two weeks later the post office returned the cardboard lid to Parker’s shipping box and included a note that told him the package had become undeliverable.
Parker filed a claim online, but it was denied. Then he filed another at his local post office, receiving a second denial.
The firefighter and father of two said he exchanged multiple calls and emails with the post office from January to August.
He dealt with five people, but no one it seemed could or would approve his $200 claim.
