Three Car Crash Involving Postal Truck Leaves one driver in Serious Condition
1.7.15 – ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The driver of a car is hospitalized after a collision with a U.S. Postal Service truck Wednesday morning at the intersection of Highland Avenue and Winton Road.
According to police, the car collided around 10:30 a.m. with the mail truck, which was trying to turn left from Winton onto Highland. Police said the car then also hit an SUV in the intersection.
The impact of the crash flipped the mail truck on its side and ripped out the engine.
Police said the driver of the car is in critical condition. The postal truck driver and driver of the SUV were taken to the hospital with injuries described as not life-threatening.
Other postal carriers were at the scene trying to pick up the mail that ended up in the roadway.
