Video: Postal Worker Killed In Maryland Crash Identified

Postal worker delivering mail at time of crash

MONKTON, Md. – Baltimore County Police identified a postal worker killed while delivering mail Saturday afternoon.

Police say, Robert Deutser, 62, of the 17400 block of Bushland Road died after he was rear ended and thrown from his mail truck in the 3100 block of Monkton Road.

A preliminary investigation found around 11:35 a.m. Deutser was slowing his mail truck to make a left turn when a black Dodge pickup tried to pass the him on the left. The pickup hit the rear left corner of the mail truck causing it to roll and ejecting Deutser onto the road. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
