BELLEVUE, Wash. — A postal service worker has been arrested for trying to run over someone who was documenting the worker’s offensive behavior toward another person, Bellevue police said.
It all began just after 11 a.m. out front of Phantom Lake Elementary School. The victim was waiting in his car to pick up his child when he overheard a loud argument on the street between a postal worker and another driver over a parking issue, said Seth Tyler with Bellevue Police.

“The victim overheard the postal worker allegedly yelling obscenities very loudly at the citizen and thought that was inappropriate behavior,” Tyler said.
The victim walked over in front of the Jeep an in effort to take a picture of the serial number and make a complaint to the Postal Service. But as the victim readied to snap the photo, the worker put the vehicle into drive and intentionally hit the leg of the victim, police said. The victim staggered back and the worker hit the leg two more times, laughing at the victim, Tyler said.
“(The victim) said when she was driving toward him, she was laughing hysterically as if she had just heard a joke,” Tyler said. “So that’s very concerning to us that she would exhibit that type of behavior.”

What a misleading headline. The only video is two guys saying it happened, and then saying nobody was hurt. Either they made the story up or the headline was purposely meant to mislead

apparently the carrier needs to be trained how to properly execute the Pitt maneuver, you can’t just watch Cops and think you can pull it off.
The story would have been more convincing had they shown the photos and video that the two brothers say they took.

Is this story over 15 years old? USPS stopped using jeeps in the 90’s !
NALC will represent the carrier and argue that USPS failed to provide the employee with a safe working environment. USPS will have to prove in front of an arbitrator that the carrier received specific and appropriate amounts of training in dealing with school traffic and irate parents. The employee will file FMLA & CA-2 for mental anguish. The arbitrator will find in favor of the employee and will render a $100,000 award and will order USPS to escort the carrier while on appointed rounds. USPS will be ordered to pay the carrier’s bail and hospital bills. Isn’t this a great country!

Looks the idiot “victim” interved with a postal workers duty in the performance of mail delivery. Maybe the postal carrier was laughing at him for providing the prove of interfering of her mail delivery. Hit by a 8000 lb truck and not getting hurt? Hmmmm. Why did he get so close to her truck when she was trying to service a mailbox? I know, delay the mail! Looks like a bunch of tailgaters looking to make the day more interesting than the other days. I bet that this has been essaculating for a long time and she has already reported the issues of the hassles of delivering the mail during this time of the day at this school and management fell on deaf ears. it just got to a point the tailgaters went over the line!
were lucky the carrier did not pull out an AK 47 assault rifle and have on a hand grenade belt with 10 grenades on it. laughing in a truck while running someone over we got off lightly this time.
Did Tyler have a permit to block a postal vehicle for this documentary?

So ask yourself who gets in front of a postal vehicle with a so called laughing hysterically postal carrier behind the wheel? (Maybe she was crying? Due to an argument with a unruly parent over parking? Trying to do her job as fast as she can due to managements pressing?) with a camera to do a so called documentary? Maybe Tyler should be held accountable here to, and charges be brought up on him… Hit 3 times no injuries, right.

IMO in the furture schools have to provide safe parking for mail service or come pick it up at PO.
Parents dropping/picking up kids gets very barbaric. Worst then their dogs.
