KNOTT Co., Ky. (WYMT) – Neighbors living in Knott County said for the past eight years Christine Slone served their community as a postmaster.

She worked at the United States Post Office in Fisty and September 6 was her last day.

Due to financial cutbacks Slone is transferring to another location in Perry County.

Friends came together for a surprise party with food, fun and gifts.

Employee at a small post office in Fisty gets a surprise
