One Pee Dee veteran says the condition of an American flag outside of a Federally-operated building bothered him greatly and he wanted something done about it.
The flag flies atop the Lake City post office.
Veteran Hoyt Wood offered to give the post office a new flag, but he says the response he got from post office workers upset him and it eventually led to the police showing up and a senior post office employee telling him to leave the facility.
Wood says he’s lived in Lake City for the past five years and recently noticed some pretty significant wear and tear on the american flag that flies over the post office.
Monday, he says he mentioned the problem to officials at the post office and he says he got a less than pleasant response.

The American Flag is inexpensive and easy to replace. To order a new flag is the responsibility of the person running the station. This might be a new cost cutting measure by management. Write to your Congressman.
I have called on a few post offices for the same reason! Good for them!
You should be aware that American is ALWAYS capitalized!!!
