WICHITA, Kan. — Authorities have cleared the scene after a bag containing a white powdery substance was discovered Monday afternoon in the parking lot of Wichita’s downtown post office.
Police and Hazmat crews were called around 4 p.m. to the post office at 330 West 2nd Street North after someone reportedly found the bag alerted a mail carrier.
The white powder turned out to be a mixture of crushed Tylenol and cocaine, police said. Hazmat crews left the scene just before 5:30 p.m.
The parking lot had been blocked off while crews investigated, but the building was not evacuated.
Officials at the post office declined to comment.
