ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Complaints by nearly two dozen University of Central Florida students that their mail was tampered with has launch an investigation by the U.S. Postal Service.

Last fall workers at a Postal Service distribution center noticed a letter that arrived at the center had been opened. Since that time 19 more opened letters have been found. All of the letters appeared to have been opened before arriving at the distribution center.

Officials said gift cards were reportedly taken from six of the letters over the holidays.
