ST. LOUIS COUNTY – A United States Postal Service truck caught fire Tuesday afternoon.

The Florissant Valley Fire Protection responded to the scene on Sassafras Manor in Calverton Park. The fire chief says the driver slid into a snow bank and tried but failed to get out of it.

The engine overheated and the truck caught fire. It appears most of the mail was destroyed.
