LATHRUP VILLAGE, Mich. (WXYZ) – Officers are investigating an accident involving a mailman’s truck and an elderly female pedestrian.

According to Lathrup Village police, the accident took place around 5:20 pm Tuesday, near the intersection of Santa Ann and Meadowbrook .

A tipster who works at the Southfield Post Office with the man behind the wheel of the mail truck did not want to be identified, but told 7 Action News what happened.

“An elderly woman was hit by his mirror and that knocked her in front of the truck and he didn’t realize there was a person under the truck and he continued to drive,” said the tipste
