WEST MIAMI-DADE, Fla. (WSVN) — A frustrated woman took matters into her own hands when a pair of thieves robbed her, Wednesday afternoon.
Just before 12:30 p.m., Lili Ochoa arrived at her local post office on Southwest Eighth Street and 143rd Avenue with her black Ford pickup truck. While she was inside the business, she spotted a silver car parked next to her truck when a man got out of the car to steal her purse with cash and a hand gun inside. “He opens my door and takes my belongings,” said Ochoa. “They took my purse with my gun.”
The getaway car quickly drove off and Ochoa jumped in her truck and chased them along Eighth Street. She lost the thieves, crashed into another driver and received a ticket for reckless driving. “I was able to ram them in the back,” she said.
