MIRAMAR – A man who was driving his SUV against oncoming traffic on a Miramar freeway died after a collision with a U.S. Postal Service box truck early Friday morning.
The crash occurred before 2 a.m. on State Route 163, near the State Route 52 interchange. California Highway Patrol reports the victim was driving north in the southbound lanes of the freeway in a Nissan Xterra. A USPS box truck traveling north tried to swerve to avoid the Xterra, but the two vehicles collided and the truck rolled over.
