The bottom line right now is that there is now accessibility, said Jim Quirk.
Quirk is working to get access for everyone to the building.

So why hasnt the post office built a ramp to allow access to anyone not able to walk without assistance?

So management says if handicapped people don’t like that the Xenia main PO doesn’t have handicap accessibility, go somewhere else. Sounds like a “fuck you”, to put it accurately. Typical management response and attitude toward customers, who they hate almost more than craft. Management is a strange beast – they feed on and devour their own, hate the people they supervise even though it’s the craft that makes it possible for them to keep their featherbedding worthless jobs and get “performance bonuses” that are totally inappropriate, when one considers it’s the craft work that the “bonuses” are based on.
Our old main office was built before 1968 and while it only has box section and window service now, the carriers in a newer larger facility across town, it has disability accommodations. Well, that was back when at least some postal officials gave a shit about their customers.
