Washington State Letter Carrier saves mail before truck goes up in flames
A letter carrier saved the mail in her truck after it caught fire this morning in north Clark County.
The female United States Postal Service worker was driving along her route north of Battle Ground when she noticed smoke coming from the hood of the vehicle, said Clark County Fire & Rescue Battalion Chief Mike Jackson.
She pulled over in the 31000 block of Northeast 95th Avenue and called 911 before getting all of the mail out of the truck.
“So, there was no mail damaged or destroyed,” said Peter Hass, spokesman for the USPS.

Hotmail.com???? Should have used the Yahoo account…
Could the spokesman not be bothered to assure us that the LETTER CARRIER was uninjured, maybe thank her for her quick thinking?
Perhaps his statement was edited for brevity; if so, why?
Excellent job, USPS lady!
Not the first mail truck I have ever seen burned to the ground. Seen a few in florida.makes you wonder if there isn’t a problem that’s not being addressed.
