3/28/2018 PETERSBURG, Va. — Tenants at a new apartment building in Petersburg are frustrated because the U.S. Postal Service has not delivered mail to their building for three months over what their landlord said is a simple lock and key issue.
“This one particular mail slot here,” building owner Joe Battiston said pointing to a cluster of apartment mailboxes. “The lock needs to be put in from the post office because it contains the lever that unlocks all the boxes.”
What Battiston said he assumed would be a simple request for a lock and key, still does not have a resolution after three months.
“I started the process a couple of days before the first tenants moved in figuring it was a quick, easy process,” Battiston explained.

Trump isn’t circling anywhere near the USPS. He’s too caught up in the Putin treason to give a shit about the mail. It isn’t made clear if this is an NDCBU but there is no excuse whatsoever for management and maintenance leaving this people without service. It seems to me the indifference to customers along especially the east coast, where we hear more stories of bad service than other places, is rampant.
Management is totally to blame. When their employees observe supervisors, managers and PM’s refusing to do their own jobs, which means getting others do to theirs like sending a maintenance crew out to set up an NDCBU, the workers are not likely to respond kindly to pressure to do their own jobs.
This is more proof that under PMG Brennan, customer service means jack shit zero, no matter how the commercials try to persuade the public otherwise. True postal reform must start at the top of the pile, and in addition to various regulations being modified, there must be a complete audit from an independent group of the negligence and incompetence that infects management at the highest levels.
Brennan got where she is by brown nosing Pat Donahoe from office to office, and her eventual promotion to PMG was a disgrace and an insult to hard working USPS employees across the nation. Why she remains as PMG is a testimony to the total indifference the USPS has for every aspect of the service outside playing money laundering games and awarding themselves unwarranted and undeserved “bonuses” for the imaginary wonderful jobs they think they do. Shit runs downhill, and the sum total of their “great work” can be seen everywhere from this incident to refusing to replace deathtrap LLV’s, hire sufficient help so people can get their mail during normal business hours, and ignoring the high rate of crimes against postal employees who have to face the public every day. So glad as a retiree my pension and other business is run by the OPM, and not those morons in the USPS.
Typical toolbag incompetence. No wonder why
the PO loses customers every day. The toolbags just
don’t care. They only care about their bonuses which
they get regardless of service, etc etc etc. Fix the numbers.
Lie, cheat, etc etc etc. Get out while you can. Trump is circling.
The end is near.
