Nyack, NY residents flood Facebook with complaints about their mail service
Nyack residents say post office has been mailing it in
January 28, 2015 – NYACK, New York – Long lines. Missed deliveries. Bad customer service.
Standing outside the stately limestone-and-tan-brick building at 48 S. Broadway on Wednesday, Jesse Scott said he’d waited in line for 15 to 20 minutes to buy some stamps.
“You’d think a post office in New York would have more service,” said Scott, 52, who moved to Nyack — ZIP code 10960 — about two years ago from a small town in North Carolina.
He noted the 15-minute parking spaces in front of the building. “You need more like 30-minute parking,” he said.
Inside, about a half-dozen or so customers waited on line with one service window open. A couple of people muttered under their breath and rolled their eyes as they inched forward.
