A manhole explosion on 105th Street between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue late Tuesday night sparked a fire that burned a postal truck and another car.
“At around 11:50pm I could hear a big explosion from the electric manhole between a car and a postal truck. Later on a second manhole caught fire closer to Broadway.
Two big firetrucks came to the scene. It took 30min until the fire was put out and the trucks could be moved.
This morning (Aug 17) at 6:00am ConEdison started their repair work.”
