KIRKWOOD, MO • Friends of a postal worker who was hit by a car as she left work last week say she remains hospitalized in an induced coma.
Chrissy Wilson-Mueller, 47, suffered brain trauma, several broken bones and a collapsed right lung after she was struck by the car Dec. 30. She had just clocked out at work after her shift and was walking to her car, which was parked on South Taylor Avenue .
A southbound vehicle struck her while she was crossing the road. Smith said the 79-year-old driver who struck her suffered minor injuries. Both were taken to a hospital for treatment, he said.
Friends of Wilson-Mueller say she had been wearing her post office jacket and blue pants, and left work in the dark. Those who have visited in the hospital since the accident say she has not regained consciousness.
