NAPUS side by side chart compares House and Senate Postal Reform Bill

NAPUS has prepared a side-by-side comparison of H.R. 5714, the Postal Reform Act of 2016 and S. 2051, the Improving Postal Operations, Service and Transparency Act of 2015.

Last month, the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee approved H.R. 5714 by a unanimous voice and S. 2051 is pending before the Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee. H.R. 5714 has been referred to two other House committees and is awaiting a cost estimate by the Congressional Budget Office. Both bills are bipartisan and serve the House and Senate vehicle for postal reform in the current congress. You may view the side-by-side comparison vie the link Postal Bill Comparison.

  1. I guess I’m stupid or something.

If they are forcing retirees in both bills to use medicare Parts B and D why do they have to amortize retiree health benefits

Can somebody explain this to me?
