5/27/2016 OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – An Omaha mail carrier was attacked by a dog Friday afternoon.

The postal worker said she used her mailbag to try and defend herself at South 15th and J streets around 3:15 p.m. The dog’s teeth locked onto her can of mace, which ended up hurting the woman. She is expected to be okay. She had never seen the dog before.

Its owner surrendered the dog to the Humane Society.
