GLEN ALLEN, Va. (WRIC)– Residents of several Glen Allen neighborhoods are complaining they’re not receiving mail. They say service stopped when the snow started last month.

Homeowner Sarah Cash says the only mail she’s seen in her mailbox lately is mail she put there herself.

“I had the flag up for some bills to go out and I noticed that the mail carrier came to the other side of the street at 7:30 last night but then disappeared and left,” explains Cash.

Neighbor Donald Price adds, “I assumed they were delivering to me and went out about an hour later just to find an empty mailbox.”

8News received those complaints from at least eight people who live in Glen Allen neighborhoods off of Springfield Road. Since the snow hit eleven days ago, many have only had mail delivered once. Their streets are completely clear; there is no snow or ice that might prevent a carrier from doing their job.
