The Postal Service is implementing a new program to use technology more efficiently nationwide.
Local Operations Centers (LOCs) will be opened in each area and district office. The centers will help employees make the best use out of new and existing postal systems and technology.
The offices of the Chief Operating Officer and the Chief Information Officer piloted the program at headquarters before rolling it out nationally. The main goal is to ensure all USPS systems are used to their full capability to reduce costs and improve service.
Each LOC will be equipped with ACE3 workstations, 70-inch touchscreen monitors and other tools to help identify issues and resolve them at the local level.

Gee….Isn’t this a bit of duplication? Isn’t this what area and district management are being paid for and are supposed to be doing in the first place?
Another “systems” overview program…….How many does usps need?
And what happens when this LOC figures out that FSS and other “systems” aren’t working…..
Expect this LOC not to last more than a year.
This is a great idea, finally holding the carriers accountable about where they are and for how long.
They need to work on getting the packages out without destroying them. It sounds like it will just be more wasted money!
